We want to see your maps of your island and your community.

Maps can be useful. Maps can be fun.

They can show routes and important places. They can help you to navigate to where you want to be and places you would love to see.

We want to see your world from above. A birds eye view.

Use different colours for different features, roads one colour, rivers a different colour footpaths another colour.

Will you use symbols or drawings and words to represent things?

Maybe you could add a compass rose to your map so we can find north and navigate.

Mark on key features – hills / roads / coastlines / the sea / landmarks / whatever you like.

Show the  places that are significant to you Home / school / work / favourite places.

You can make a map from memory or you could take a walk and make notes or pictures.

You can make a map yourself or collaborate with other people.

Think about what you would like to see in your community – hopes and dreams for the future.

What will you put on your map?

What would you like to see in your community?

What would make the biggest difference to your life?

It’s your map. Dream big!

Draw your map on paper using pencils and pens. Then take a photo of it and upload the map using this link.
